todo.cli

todocli is demonstrated in this video & the code is below

todo cli cookiecutter

# install cookiecutter
sudo apt install cookiecutter
# deploy
cookiecutter https://gitlab.com/shane0/cookiecutter-todocli.git

more info

i challange anyone to find a better system than this, i find it hard to imagine anything simpler and faster than this

this is probably the best app for someone wanting to move to a faster terminal workflow, it obviously works many of the most productive developers use it

  • effortless → benchmark it, this takes milliseconds to use & can be scripted for multi projects
  • 0 dependancies
  • undistracted → runs in terminal → handles plugins
  • basic documentation → 6 badges & a gif demonstrating basic usage

todo cli is the ultimate effortless & undistracted task manager

info

only todo.sh & todo.cfg are required

the names of the extra files are self explanatory

usage

4 commands

t ls
t append
t pri
t do
  • t ls for list the contents of todo.txt
  • t append <task number> to append information to a task
  • t pri <task number> <a-z> to give a priority from a to z
  • t do moves it to done.txt

  • tedit is a shortcut i added that just opens todo.txt to edit in vim → you could use only this if you're confused by the other commands
